This seminar aims to equip participants with knowledge regarding eating disorders and the intersection between eating disorders and sexual assault/trauma. The seminar will offer opportunity for participants to discuss and reflect upon their own experiences when working with this client group, with a chance to also ask questions regarding the material presented. Prior knowledge and understanding of eating disorders is not required.

Speakers

Amy Woods
Amy is a Senior Lived Experience Advisor at CEED. She is an eating disorder counsellor who uses her lived experience to inform her practice and support her clients. She is passionate about providing care and support that honours each individual’s experiences.
Chantel Kleiner
Chantel is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Family Therapist. She has worked in both private and public health sectors with children, adolescents and adults. Her work in eating disorders has included delivering evidence-based treatments and integrating her knowledge in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and Day Programs. Chantel has a particular interest in working with families in an adaptive and collaborative way to achieve meaningful change. Chantel is currently working within a project role at CEED.
Rhiannon Griggs
Rhiannon is a Social Worker and Senior Clinician at CEED. Rhiannon has specialised in working with people with eating disorders, as well as other co-occurring mental health concerns, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She is committed to continuing to improve access to high quality evidence based treatment, and operates from a compassionate and non-judgemental standpoint.
Sharon Nicola
Sharon is a Clinical Psychologist and Senior Clinician at CEED who also works in private practice treating clients with eating disorders and co-occurring trauma. Sharon has worked in the public mental health system and private inpatient settings. Her work is underpinned by her values of compassion, respect, openness and integrity.
